Morgan Ashley grew up in small town Columbus, Texas. She participated in extra curricular activities such as Cheer,   4-H, FFA and more. In 2013 her agriculture teacher talked her into doing the FFA Talent Show. She loved to sing, but the thought of getting in front of a crowd scared her. She got over her nerves and participated and ended up placing 3rd place. The two people who placed in front of her both played an instrument, and from that moment she was determined to learn the guitar.

Starting in January 2014 Morgan started taking lessons and by March she was already playing shows. Upon graduation of high school, she then joined another girl to make a duo called Morgan and Sara based out of Nashville, Tennessee. They were very successful playing shows all over the south at popular venues such as The Bluebird Cafe in Nashville, the infamous Wildflower Festival in Dallas, and more. They also released an EP and had radio play all over the United States and beyond.

At the end of 2015 Morgan decided to pursue her dreams of a solo career and moved to College Station, Texas. She has since been playing playing shows and focusing on her songwriting. Morgan is a member of the Texas Country Music Association and has been nominated for the 2017 Female Vocalist of the Year. Her first solo EP came out in April 2017 and has a sound influenced by Miranda Lambert, Kacey Musgraves and Taylor Swift. In June 2017 she will start Berklee Online College for a Professional Certificate in General Music Studies which will focus on Songwriting.
